HEATHER DRAKE'S CHARITY CURRY NIGHT
As some of you may know, I'm running the London marathon on April 22nd. You are all invited to a curry night on thursday 16th february at the Nirvana restaurant, High st, Ingatestone. The evening begins at 7.30pm. The cost of a ticket is £14 which includes an indian buffet and a donation to the charities I'm supporting which are St Francis hospice and Mind. Please let me know if you can make it as it will be a great evening.

TRY A TRIATHLON WITH TRI SPORT EPPING
Tri Sport Epping has announced that they will once again be holding their annual Tri a Triathlon on June 17th 2012 at Ongar Leisure Centre.
The Try a Tri offers 1st timers a chance to participate in a grass roots event with a pool swim and a club atmosphere which benefits those who may feel intimidated by high profile open water and seasoned triathletes with their expensive bikes and equipment. The event consists of a 300m swim with a 2 lap 21k cycle ride and a flat 4k run. There are no prizes as all who take part are winners and all participants are treated to a souvenir t-shirt and filling post race breakfast.
To help competitors to prepare, Tri Sport are holding a triathlon day on sunday April 29th. Led by coaches from the clubthe day will cover all aspects of training and competing enabling competitors to approach race day with confidence.

Cross Country ( Fixtures 2011/12) Road, Trail etcThe cross country season is well under way with the Trotters entered into two leagues. There is the saturday afternoon Essex l'gue and the sunday morning South Essex l'gue. In the saturday l'gue there are seperate races for the men (8k approx) and women (6-7k approx). The sunday l'gue is a combined race over (7-8k approx). All abilities welcome in both events. Please wear club colours. There is also the opportunity to enter championship races as well ie Essex, Essex vets, Southerns, Nationals. As with the l'gues more in depth info about these events will be available when we receive it. Click the icon below to see the fixture list ROUND 4 SOUTH ESSEX CROSS COUNTRY L'GUE ( SOUTH WEALD COUNTRY PARK) There was a fantastic turnout by the TGT (with some new faces on the scene) on a cold misty morning at South Weald . Surprisingly, we finished in 5th and last position in div 1, despite a respectable score of 260, beaten narrowly (1 point) by East Essex Tri. Ryan Prout was leading at half way, then unfortunately took a wrong turn and was caught by the chasing duo of Rob Warner and eventual winner Crispian Bloomfield. Alan Butler was another unfortunate, picking up a knee injury during the race, but struggled on to the finish in probably his lowest position ever (36th),' hope it's not too serious Alan'. Tracey Alexandrou made a welcome return to the green vest finishing 14th woman and was ably backed up by 10 Trotter ladies which must be our best representation of the season. Well done to everyone. The table below shows that we are only 2 points off relegation.
